'Tis the season of giving!

BAKERSFIELD, Calif., December 2, 2016 – SunPower by Sun Solar kicked off this year’s season of giving with two big donations.

Jeff Periera and Scott Ryan, co-owners of SunPower by Sun Solar, were both born and raised in Bakersfield, CA. As local business owners, they take great pride in supporting their communities that have brought them so much success. From collecting fans for low income families to supporting veterans through Honor Flight, Jeff and Scott give back whenever they can. When they found out that CASA, Court Appointed Special Advocates of Kern County, was looking for toy donations to help brighten the holidays for neglected and abused children, they did not hesitate to jump into action. Filling the bed of a pickup truck, Jeff and Scott delivered over 500 toys to the collection site set up by American General Media outside Chuy’s on Rosedale Highway.

Children are not the only ones in need this season. Christmas For Seniors of Kern County is a local non-profit organization that helps low-income home bound or isolated seniors in our community. In the spirit of giving, SunPower by Sun Solar once again stepped up and delivered over 500 needed items to the KGET Stuff The Bus Donation Drive, benefiting Christmas For Seniors. These donated items, including socks, gloves, hygienic products and crossword puzzles, will make an enormous difference to many less fortunate seniors in our community.
